What is the "90-90-90 rule" for sitting posture?

The "90-90-90 Rule" is considered the golden ratio for a healthy sitting posture. By keeping the body in a natural and balanced state, it minimizes muscle fatigue.

Elbows: Bend them at 90° and support them with armrests to keep your shoulders relaxed.

Hips: Ensure the angle between your torso and thighs is 90°, and firmly rest your back against the lumbar support.

Knees: Keep your knees at a 90° angle, with the soles of your feet flat on the floor or a footrest.

How do ergonomic chairs reduce the risk of sciatica?

Dynamic backrests (such as Hbada's 3-zone dynamic lumbar support) are excellent because they encourage "active sitting."

Support that moves with you: Each time you change your posture, it follows the subtle movements of your body, providing consistent and stable support.

Reduced pressure: Compared to a fixed backrest, it follows your movements, which can help reduce pressure on your intervertebral discs.

Fatigue prevention: It prevents muscles from stiffening in the same posture, leading to improved blood circulation and reduced stiffness that is often felt at the end of the day.

Why are dynamic backrests superior to fixed backrests?

Dynamic backrests (such as Hbada's 3-zone dynamic lumbar support) are excellent because they promote "active sitting."

Support that moves with you: Each time you change your posture, it follows your body's subtle movements, providing constant and stable support.

Reduced pressure: Compared to fixed backrests, by moving with you, it is expected to reduce the pressure on your intervertebral discs.

How do I choose a chair based on the height of my desk?

The height of your chair should be determined not only by your desk, but also by the height of your elbows when you are seated.

  1. Adjust your chair height so that your elbows form a 90° angle when your hands are placed on the keyboard.
  2. If your feet do not reach the floor at that height, you will need to use a footrest to maintain the "90-90-90 rule."
  3. Advice: For petite individuals, models with a low minimum seat height, such as the E3 Air, are recommended. They are also easier to match with standard desk heights.
Ergonomic Chair vs. Gaming Chair: Which is better for 8+ hours of desk work?

For long periods of use exceeding 8 hours, ergonomic chairs are almost always more suitable.

Breathability: Ergonomic chairs often use mesh materials (such as CloudMesh™), which are less prone to trapping heat compared to the PU leather commonly found in gaming chairs.

Posture Support vs. Immersion: Gaming chairs are designed with a "bucket seat" shape that cradles the body to enhance immersion. In contrast, ergonomic chairs aim to support the natural movement of the spine, reducing the burden on the lower back from prolonged use.

What materials does Hbada use to be environmentally friendly?

Hbada values thoughtful manufacturing and a commitment to sustainability. For the 2026 series, we have adopted the following materials and design principles:

Recyclable Polymer Materials: The frame is made from high-strength, recyclable nylon and plastic.

Environmentally Friendly Mesh Material: We use Oeko-Tex certified fabric that is free from harmful chemicals.

Durability-Focused Design: By conducting over 120,000 fatigue durability tests (exceeding BIFMA standards), we also contribute to reducing environmental waste.

Which organs does scoliosis affect?

Scoliosis is a condition affecting the spine, where an abnormal curvature of the backbone can compress the digestive system (esophagus and stomach), and in severe cases, may impact the space available for the heart and lungs. Proper ergonomic support can help align the posture, which may lead to a reduction in secondary discomforts such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) that can arise from organ compression. If you have any concerning symptoms, please consult a doctor.

As a chiropractor, what kind of chair do you recommend for back pain?

Chairs recommended by chiropractors emphasize adjustable lumbar support and dynamic recline functionality. The key points are as follows:

Ease of adjustment: The chair should be finely adjustable to suit the user's height and physique.

Pelvic stability: The chair should be able to maintain the pelvis in a neutral position, preventing slouching and other postural deviations.

Hbada's "E3 Pro 2026 Model" is designed with these chiropractic principles in mind. Its responsive, tracking lumbar support, 4D headrest support, and 720° adjustable armrests relieve tension in the neck and lower back.

Are the gas cylinders used in Hbada chairs certified for safety?

Yes, safety is our top priority in design. All Hbada office chairs feature robust, explosion-proof Class 3 or Class 4 gas lifts that have passed rigorous safety tests. These gas lifts are independently verified and certified by global certification bodies such as SGS and BIFMA, ensuring smooth height adjustment and reliable load-bearing capacity even after years of daily use.

How should I clean and care for the chair's breathable mesh material?

Cleaning the high-elasticity mesh material of Hbada chairs is very simple. For everyday dust removal, use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment on a low suction setting. For localized stains or spills, add a drop of mild detergent to lukewarm water, dampen a microfiber cloth, and gently blot the mesh surface to clean it. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or heat guns, as excessive heat can damage the woven fiber structure.

Does the mesh have a firm stiffness? Will it sag over time?

There's a significant difference in mesh quality. While low-density mesh may feel fine at first, it tends to lose tension and gradually decrease in support within a few months. When choosing, it's recommended to select high-elasticity, high-strength mesh with a clearly stated weave density. Good quality mesh provides firm support, yet gives slightly when weight is applied, and does not sag.

Does the seat cushion have a moderate firmness, or is it soft and sinking?

A soft, deeply yielding cushion may feel comfortable for the first 20 minutes, but it can cause problems when sitting for eight hours—your pelvis tilts backward, and your lower back loses its natural curve.

A cushion with moderate firmness, however, will help maintain the natural alignment of your spine throughout your sitting time.

Urethane foam made from virgin materials (unused, new raw materials) tends to retain its shape longer than foam made from recycled materials.

I sit for 8-10 hours a day. Will this chair really help relieve my back pain?

Yes, it helps with support. Generic chairs often lead to poor posture, like hunching over, which puts a significant strain on the lower back. Hbada chairs are equipped with advanced three-zone dynamic lumbar support (with AI tracking functionality in higher-end models) that actively conforms to the curve of your back. This helps your spine maintain a healthy "S-curve," which is expected to reduce the burden on your lower back often felt during long hours of work or gaming.

I am tall (or short). Will this chair be suitable for my body type?

Yes, it's a perfect fit. Hbada chairs offer extensive adjustability and are suitable for individuals roughly 160cm to 190cm tall. A key feature is the seat depth adjustment. By sliding the seat forward or backward, you can ensure proper thigh support without impeding blood flow behind your knees. The sturdy Class 4 gas cylinder also allows for smooth height adjustments.

Do seat cushions flatten or become uncomfortable after a few months of use?

No, please rest assured. Inexpensive chairs often use low-density urethane, which quickly flattens out. Hbada, on the other hand, uses high-resilience cloud breathable cushions and high-quality breathable mesh, which evenly distribute body weight. Rigorous testing has confirmed that the shape and support will not be compromised even with continuous 24-hour use.

Why is it worth investing in an ergonomic chair that costs around 70,000 yen instead of a cheaper one?

Inexpensive chairs are merely "task chairs" designed for about two hours of work. In contrast, Hbada chairs are certified ergonomic health tools, engineered for your spine. You don't need to spend over ¥200,000 on high-end imported brands to get the same class of high-quality features—like breathable mesh, SGS-certified safe gas cylinders, and precise posture support—at a much lower price. Consider it an investment in your health and productivity.

I'm not very good at assembling furniture. Is this chair difficult to assemble?

There are no issues at all. Assembly usually takes less than 20 minutes. The instruction manual is highly illustrated and very easy to understand, and all necessary tools, such as the hex wrench and bolts, are included in the box. You do not need to provide your own tools.
